Duncan + Lexi
I’m going to go ahead and admit that I had the hardest time choosing which photos to include on the blog from this gallery. Duncan and Lexi knocked it out of the park at their session! I’m going to be thinking about it for a while, especially the photos of Lexi up in the tree reading. More about that in a second though!
I met Duncan a year ago when he started working in the same accounting department as me. He became like the little brother I never had – lots of pranks, laughter, and friendship. Duncan has since taken a campus ministry position with RUF at TTU, and I know he is going to excel! He will be a wonderful asset to their team, and bring so much fun like he did to ours.
While working with Duncan he would often talk about his wife Lexi, and it was so sweet to hear some of the stories. The stories were normally about how Lexi stayed up till 4 AM reading a new book or the new amazing cookie creation she had made or just how sweet she is in general. Lexi is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.
When prepping for their session I started thinking about poses, locations, etc. and quickly texted Duncan told him to tell Lexi to bring one of her favorite books, and bonus points if the cover was pretty. Duncan responded back quoting Lexi, “Of course it has a pretty cover”. Right then I knew this was going to go well. Lexi showed up with not just one book with a pretty cover, but five!
We started at Cane Creek Park, and decided to drive over to TTU to grab some headshots for Duncan’s new role. As soon as we pulled up to the quad I saw the perfect tree. I told Lexi my vision for the photos with the book was Alice in Wonderland vibes, and Lexi looked over excitedly and said, “When she’s up in the tree?!” Next thing I know Duncan is hoisting Lexi up into the tree, and well…you’ll just have to see for yourself!
